- Heat the oil in a large pan over a mediumhigh heat. Cook the onion and peppers for 4-5 minutes until just tender but still slightly crunchy. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Preheat the barbecue to a medium-high heat. Cook the sausages until completely cooked throughout, turning frequently.
- Place the sausages in the buns and top with the fried onions and peppers.
- Drizzle over some American-style mustard to serve.
Add an Asian twist by swapping out the peppers and onions for grated carrot and chopped fresh coriander. For a satay drizzle, stir together equal parts of peanut butter and sweet chilli sauce.
